ABRF Lab Operations Management Software Discussions

September 1 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for the monthly ABRF Lab Operations Management Software Discussion, a recurring forum held on the first Tuesday of each month, bringing together lab operations professionals to explore software tools and best practices.

Following a brief recap of these updates, the session will open up for Q&A and discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to share feedback, ask questions, and connect with peers.

Topic: Data stories: using operational data to highlight the impact of core facilities

Most cores use automated systems to track usage and bill customers. These systems capture a great deal of data about users and how they use the core facilities. In addition to standard usage metrics, operational data can be used to show the contribution of cores to supporting research and education across the institution. At the Bindley Bioscience Center, we are using iLab data to tell stories, highlighting the role of our staff scientists, the collaborative nature of our work, and illustrating the broader impact of our core facilities on the research enterprise.
